Season closed

Opens 15 October

Stone crab, in season and not out of it.

15 October to 1 May, set by the state and not by us. Outside those dates there is nothing legal to sell you that has not been frozen for months, and we would rather tell you to come back in October.

Last board of the season

Written up Friday 24 April 2026

  • Medium

    $34 / lb

    6 to 8 claws

What most people take home. Two pounds feeds three as a starter and two as a dinner.

    Closed — last season’s price

  • Large

    $48 / lb

    4 to 5 claws

The size worth the drive. More meat per claw and less work with the cracker.

    Closed — last season’s price

  • Jumbo

    $66 / lb

    3 claws

Landed in quantity maybe three weeks a season. When the board says none, it means none — we will not sell you large at jumbo money.

    Closed — last season’s price

  • Colossal

    $92 / lb

    2 claws

Rare, and mostly early season. Ring the dock rather than driving down for these.

    Closed — last season’s price

We do not ship in the closed season. There is no stone crab to ship, and anybody selling it to you in July is selling you something that has been frozen since April. Shipping cut-off is 11:00 Eastern, Monday to Thursday; overnight to the lower 48, in season only.

Six boats

Ours, not a co-op’s. Named because if you ask which boat your claws came off, somebody on the dock can tell you.
