What can change the price
Five things. There is no sixth.
Stairs nobody mentioned
$95 a flight, each end
A third floor walk-up is roughly an extra hour per room. The survey asks and the quote assumes what you said.
A long carry
$85 over 75 feet
From the door to where the truck can legally park. In a city this is sometimes not knowable until the day and we will tell you at the survey if it is a risk.
Items added after the survey
Priced per item
The gym equipment in the garage that was not there in the video. Add it before the day and it is cheaper.
A shuttle
$340
When a full-size truck cannot reach the door and a smaller one has to run between. Named at the survey when it is likely.
Waiting for a lift or a key
$120 an hour after 30 minutes
Building lift bookings and closings that run late. The first half hour is free and most days nothing is charged.
Everything we do
Local move, by binding quote
Anywhere along the Front Range. Priced from the survey, not by the hour, so a slow day is our problem.
Local move, by the hour
For small jobs where a survey costs more than it saves. Two movers and a truck, $185 an hour, three hour minimum.
Long distance
Delivery window in days, not weeks. Our truck, our crew, from your door to your door.
Full packing
Everything, in two days for a typical house. Materials at cost.
Partial packing
Kitchen, glassware, art. The three that go wrong when people do them themselves.
Unpacking
Boxes emptied, flattened, and taken away. Priced per hour and worth more than people expect.
Piano and safe
Uprights and grands, and safes to about 1,200 lb. Quoted separately every time.
Crating for art
Built to the piece. Two to three days' notice.
Short-term storage
In vaults, in our own warehouse, billed monthly. Nothing is subcontracted to a storage company.
Single item
One sofa, one bed, one piano. There is a minimum and it is $290.
