The year
Six shows, six weeks each, and one fortnight with the lights off.
A gallery running eleven shows a year is a gallery hanging work it has not lived with. Six is the number where each artist gets a proper run and everybody gets paid on time.
January – February
A group show of everyone in the flat file
March – April
One artist, first solo show
May – June
Two artists, paired
July
Closed for two weeks, hung the rest
August – September
Two artists, paired
October – November
One artist, a body of work made here
December
Small works, everything under five hundred dollars
How work gets in
Mostly by us going and looking. There is no open call and no submission fee, and any gallery charging one is not a gallery. If you are an artist in the Midwest and want to send images, send them — they are looked at, slowly, and you will get a real answer even when it is no.
