How long does a correction take?

A single stage is one full day, about eight hours. Two stage is two days. That is why only one car is here at a time — a proper correction cannot be rushed and doing two badly is worse than doing one properly.

Will this remove my scratch?

If you can catch a fingernail in it, no. Polishing removes clear coat to level the surface around a defect, and there is a finite amount of clear coat. Anything deeper than it needs paint. Send a photo and you will get a straight answer before you book.

What is the difference between a coating and a wax?

Durability, mostly. Wax lasts weeks, a coating lasts a year or three. Neither prevents scratches, and any shop telling you a coating stops swirls is selling you something. What a coating actually does is make washing easier and safer, which is how the correction survives.

How long is the wait?

The schedule page shows the real openings rather than an enquiry form. It is usually two to four weeks, longer in spring. If somebody cancels, the schedule updates the same day.

Do you come to me?

No. Correction needs controlled light, a level floor, and power, and none of those exist on a driveway. If you need mobile work I will name somebody who does it properly rather than pretending I can.

How do I look after it afterwards?

Accepted Answer

Two buckets, a grit guard, a clean mitt, and never an automatic wash — that is genuinely the whole list. You will leave with it written down. About a third of the cars that come back for a second correction went through a tunnel wash in between.
