One fee, four sliding scale places, and no package to buy.

Fifty-minute sessionWeekly to begin with. Most people move to fortnightly at some point, and some do not.: $150
Sliding scale placeFour places, held for people for whom the full fee is the reason they would not come. Two are taken.: $70 – $120
First consultation callTwenty minutes on the phone, before anything is booked, to work out whether I am the right person.: Free
Late cancellationUnder 48 hours. The hour is held for you and cannot be filled, which is the entire reason for the policy.: Full fee
LettersFor an employer or a school where it is appropriate. I will say when I do not think a letter helps.: $90

Fees are reviewed once a year and existing clients are told two months ahead.

Insurance, honestly

Four things worth knowing before you assume this is or is not affordable. The last one is the one people are rarely told.

I am out of network: Payment comes to me directly rather than through a plan. That is a real cost and I would rather name it than bury it.
You get a superbill monthly: An itemised receipt with the codes an insurer needs. Submitting it is straightforward and takes about ten minutes.
Many plans reimburse a portion: How much is between you and them. I cannot promise a figure on their behalf and I will not guess at one.
A superbill names a diagnosis: Which goes into your insurance record. Some people would rather it did not, and that is a legitimate reason to skip the whole thing.

If the fee is the reason you would not come, say that in the first email.

It is not an awkward thing to write and it is exactly what the sliding scale places are for. Nobody has to make a case for themselves.
