Dropped by nine, folded by five, priced by the pound.

Seward and Longfellow · Minneapolis

Route days by street, and the programmes priced by weight.

Six programs

Every one priced by weight or by item, with the constraint stated next to it.

  1. Wash, dry and fold

    $1.85 a pound

    No minimum

Weighed and priced in front of you at drop-off, so the number is agreed before anything is washed.

  2. Same day

    +$0.40 a pound

    In by 9:00 am

Folded and ready by five. In after nine and it is ready the next afternoon.

  3. Comforter or duvet

    $28 each

    Priced per item

King or queen, washed in the sixty pound machine. Down takes a full extra dry cycle.

  4. Hang dry

    +$0.60 a pound

    Whole bag only

For anything that shrinks. Add a day, because it takes one.

  5. Pickup and delivery

    $8 a trip

    $25 of service

Weekdays, on your street's route day. Free over $60.

  6. Commercial linen account

    $1.45 a pound

    40 lb a week

Salons, restaurants, and short lets. Invoiced monthly, collected on a fixed day.

A dollar eighty-five a pound, no minimum, weighed on the counter scale while you stand there. Self-service machines from six in the morning until ten at night, every day of the year.

Your street has a day.

Pickup between eight and ten, delivery back between four and six the same day for wash-dry-fold, next day for hang dry.

  1. Monday

    Seward, north of Franklin

22nd to 27th Avenue, Milwaukee, Minnehaha, and the streets off Franklin.

  2. Tuesday

    Seward, south of Franklin

Riverside to 27th, Cedar, and everything down to the parkway.

  3. Wednesday

    Longfellow, north

Lake Street to 38th, between Hiawatha and the river.

  4. Thursday

    Longfellow, south

38th to 46th, between Hiawatha and the river. Includes Howe.

  5. Friday

    Commercial accounts, then anywhere

Linen accounts first thing, then any household on any street who missed their day.

The scale is on the counter, not in the back.

Your bag is weighed and priced while you are standing there. It takes twenty seconds and it is the reason nobody here has ever argued about a bill.
