Four of them, and each one costs us work
What we will not sell you
A pest firm that only ever says yes is a pest firm whose paperwork will not hold when somebody checks it. These are the four we say no to most often.
01
A one-off spray on a food premises
It fails audit. An inspector wants a monitored programme with dated records, and a single visit produces no record of anything except that somebody sprayed once. We will not sell paperwork that does not hold.
02
Treating before inspecting
Bait laid in the wrong place is worse than no bait, because the monitor then reads clear and the harbourage is still there. The first visit is always an inspection, and it is chargeable whether or not you go on to a programme.
03
Writing a finding as closed on the operator's say-so
We close a finding when a technician has seen it closed. Taking your word for it would make the whole log worth nothing to you at the moment you actually need it.
04
Domestic work
Different regulations, different insurance, different scheduling. We are set up for food premises and we would be doing your house badly. We keep two domestic firms' numbers by the phone.
