A field before harvest. Illustrative — not a Three Fields field.
Northfield, Minnesota · 320 acres · farm store Saturdays
Four grains, one mill, milled the week you buy it.
Flour is a perishable product and almost nobody treats it as one. Every sack that leaves here is stamped with the day it went through the stones, and the week’s schedule is on this page so you can time an order to the grain you want.
On the stones today
Rye, whole and light
Bagged the same afternoon and dated. Wholesale sacks go out on the Wednesday delivery.

Four grains. Not eleven, and none of them ancient.
Wheat, rye, buckwheat, and corn, grown here and milled here. They are ordinary grains grown carefully, and that is the whole claim.
Hard red wheat, whole
$6.40 / 2 lb
Bread. Takes more water than you expect and keeps taking it for the first hour.
Hard red wheat, sifted
$5.80 / 2 lb
Bread with a lighter crumb, or half and half with the whole for a sandwich loaf.
Rye, whole
$6.90 / 2 lb
Sourdough, crispbread, and starters. Ferments faster than wheat, so watch it.
Rye, light
$6.20 / 2 lb
Deli rye and anything where you want the flavour without the density.
We are not certified organic, and we will not imply it.
What we will do is tell you exactly what went on each field and when, in writing, if you ask. Several wholesale customers do. That is a more useful answer than a word on a bag.
