14.5"6"

Deep shelf bin

$18

Storage

Dimensions
14.5" W × 6" H × 11" D
Weight
1 lb 4 oz
Material
Recycled polypropylene

Fits. Two across a standard 30-inch cabinet shelf. Clears a 6.5-inch shelf gap.

What a month of use showed

Loaded with 14 lb of tinned food for six weeks. No flex at the base, and the front lip stayed square.

The limitation

The handle cut-out means it is not a good choice for anything smaller than a spice jar — things migrate through it.

17"8.5"

Under-sink riser

$26

Storage

Dimensions
17" W × 8.5" H × 10.5" D
Weight
2 lb 2 oz
Material
Powder-coated steel

Fits. Sits around most standard sink traps. Legs are 8.5 inches apart at the narrowest point — measure your trap first.

What a month of use showed

Held 30 lb of cleaning bottles for two months under a leaking trap. Powder coat did not lift.

The limitation

Will not clear a garbage disposal unit on the same side. Check before ordering; returns on this item are our most common.

17"2.75"

Drawer divider set, four pieces

$32

Kitchen

Dimensions
17" W × 2.75" H × 2.75" D
Weight
1 lb 9 oz
Material
Beech, unfinished

Fits. Expands 12 to 17 inches. Fits standard kitchen and dresser drawers up to 3 inches deep.

What a month of use showed

Opened and closed daily for eight weeks. The spring tension held; the beech marked where cutlery sat.

The limitation

Unfinished wood will stain if you put anything damp against it. That is a trade for not having a coating that flakes.

Manufacturer dimensions are wrong more often than you would think. Products are tested for everyday use, photographed accurately, described with clear dimensions, and supported by responsive customer service.

Everything on this site is drawn at the same scale, so a bin and a bench are comparable at a glance.

How we test

Four steps, and the fourth is the one that matters.

Every listing on this site names something wrong with the product. If we could not find anything, we have not used it long enough to sell it.

  1. 01

    We buy it ourselves

Every product we list has been bought at retail before we ever contact the maker. We are not testing a sample chosen for us.

  2. 02

We use it for at least a month

In a real kitchen or bathroom, doing the job it is sold for. Six weeks for anything that bears weight.

  3. 03

    We measure it ourselves

Manufacturer dimensions are wrong more often than you would think, usually by rounding. Every measurement on this site was taken with a tape by someone here.

  4. 04

We write down what is wrong with it

Every listing has a limitation. If we could not find one, we have not used it long enough to list it.
