We would rather show you the arithmetic than a photograph.

Any salon can post a good picture. What you actually need to know before booking is how many appointments it will take, how long you will sit, and what it will cost by the end.

01

Box-dye black to cool blonde

Sessions
3 sessions over 11 weeks
Chair time
11 hours total
Cost
$920

Four years of black box dye. We lifted in stages with a treatment appointment between each one, and finished two shades warmer than the reference photo because taking it further would have cost the client her hair.

This is the appointment people most often expect to take one afternoon. It never does.

02

Grown-out balayage back to a wearable line

Sessions
1 session
Chair time
3 hours 30 minutes
Cost
$275

Eighteen months of growth with a hard line at the old start point. Rebalanced the placement so the regrowth reads as intentional, then glossed.

The cheapest fix here was not more highlights — it was moving where they start.

03

Post-partum shedding, cut to work with it

Sessions
1 session, reviewed at 8 weeks
Chair time
60 minutes
Cost
$115

Significant regrowth at the hairline and reduced density through the crown. Shape built around the new growth rather than trying to hide it.

We talked her out of the shorter cut she came in asking for. It would have looked good for three weeks.

04

First appointment after two years of home cutting

Sessions
1 session
Chair time
90 minutes
Cost
$130

Uneven lengths through the back and a lot of split ends. Restyle to a shape that only needed a small amount of length removed.

We kept more length than the client expected to lose. That is usually possible.

Client names are withheld. Photographs of your own hair are never posted anywhere without your written consent, and we do not ask for it at the chair.
