Do you deliver?

Wednesday to Saturday, four to seven, within about two miles. Six dollars, and free over sixty. Somebody over twenty-one has to be there with an ID — if nobody is in, it comes back here rather than being left on a step.

What is good for about twenty dollars?

That is most of the shop, and it is deliberately most of the shop. The Cotes du Rhone at nineteen and the dry Riesling at twenty-two are the two we hand people most often. Every bottle has a card saying what it tastes like, so you can decide without asking anybody.

Question 3

Can you order something you do not stock?

Usually, if a distributor here carries it, and it takes about a week. There is no charge for asking and no obligation. If it turns out to be one of the things we can only get by the case, we will say so rather than quietly ordering twelve.

Question 4

Do you do tastings?

Accepted Answer

A small one most Fridays from five, four bottles, free, no booking. Pours are small on purpose and there is bread and cheese out. Anyone is welcome, including people who are not drinking.

Question 5

What are your hours?

Noon to eight, Tuesday to Sunday. Closed Monday. Closed on the major holidays and the sign in the window will say so a week ahead.

Question 6

Can I return a bottle I did not like?

If it is faulty, obviously, and bring it back with what is left in it. If it is sound and you simply did not enjoy it, bring it back anyway — we would rather swap it and learn what to write on the card than have you not come back. That has happened perhaps a dozen times and nobody has ever taken advantage of it.
