Eleven tables, 32 seats, and no corner to be put in.
Drawn rather than photographed, because a photograph of a dining room is a photograph of a dining room. This tells you the thing you actually want to know before booking for six.
The week
Wednesday is the easiest night to get a table and Thursday is the best night to eat here. Both of those are true and we would rather say so.
- Tuesday
- Deliveries land between seven and ten. Nadia writes the menu by noon and it goes up that night. The room is dark.
- Wednesday
- Shopping for what the menu needs that the farms did not bring. First service at six. Quietest night, easiest to book.
- Thursday
- The night the kitchen likes best — the menu has been cooked once and it has settled.
- Friday
- Both seatings full most weeks. Book four weeks out.
- Saturday
- Full. If you want a Saturday, the day bookings open is the day to take one.
Getting here
On Haywood Road in West Asheville. Street parking either side, and a lot behind the block that is free after six. The room is small and has a hard floor, so it is a good room for four people talking and a poor one for a table of ten trying to hear each other.
