The rooms

Six of them, and you are allowed to ask for one.

Most people do not know they can. Room 2 is the quietest and has no window; Room 1 has two windows and you can hear Front Street through them. Neither is better and about half of each is requested.

  • Room 1

    Corner room, two windows onto Front Street, warmest room in the building.

    The street is audible. Some people like it and some people ask to move.

  • Room 2

    Interior, quietest, no window. The room to ask for if you want no distraction at all.

  • Room 3

    The wet room. Shower, drain in the floor, and the only room the salt and clay treatments run in.

  • Room 4

    Interior, set up for prenatal work with the bolsters already in it.

  • Room 5

    Facial room. Steam, magnifier lamp, and a chair rather than a table.

  • Room 6

    The double. Two tables, and the only room we book for two people at once.

Why there are no photographs of anybody being treated.

Every spa website has the same picture: two hands on a shoulder, a towel, a candle out of focus. It is a photograph of nothing. It does not tell you the room is warm, or that the street is audible from Room 1, or that Room 3 has a drain in the floor. So this page has the rooms, empty, and the things somebody would actually want to know written underneath them.
